Hi my name is Briana Scott and I am one of the three student coordinators. Today was day two of the trip. We started the morning with breakfast at Joplin Family Worship Center. After eating breakfast we got our supplies and went to our project cite. When we pulled up to the house there was a big "X" on the house and the phrase " U Loot We Shoot" (lol) on the garage door. Our task for the day was to clean the debris left by the tornado. What sounds like a easy task was actually very challenging. The group was responsible for cleanings debris from multiple acres of land. As we cleaned today i often stopped to look at the damage around us. Looking around I saw houses that had been gutted by the storm, houses that had been swept away by the storm, and houses that are in the process of being rebuilt. We worked from 8:30-4:30 today and got a lot accomplished. What's most rewarding about this trip is being able to help others in need. It is truly a blessing to be able to be a blessing to someone else.
